MCT-5000 Digital Broadband Wheeled Jamming System

Applications:

MCT-5000 is a new addition to the field of electronic countermeasure.   The system aims to interfere with and suppress signals generated by remote control devices, mobile phones and other wireless communications equipment.  It can be used to prevent detonation of remote-controlled explosive devices. Some of its main applications include providing safety measures for EOD squad during search, transfer and disposal of suspect explosive devices, providing security measures for VIPs in both public and private spaces, and maintaining the secrecy and privacy of important meetings and events.  It can also enhance personal safety protection for SWAT and CAT commandos in action.  Additionally, MCT-5000 is ideally suited for radio signal interference and shielding in special locales.

Key components:

MCT-5000 main, hand held control terminal, external antennas, antenna carry case, power adaptor and gas-powered generator (optional)

1.MCT-5000 Main

Key Technical Attributes:

(1)World’s only full broadband wheeled jamming system
(2)Compact design with high system mobility
(3)Modular design of interference frequency bands
Providing flexibility in expansion and combination of various frequency bands to effect complete coverage of target area
(4)Advanced software technology adopted in wireless communications. The effective coverage of interference frequencies extends from 20Mhz to 2500 (6000) MHz.
(5)Remote access interface for easy maintenance and repair by technicians
(6)Advanced antenna design reduces the number of system accessories and increases system portability for field personnel.
(7)Frequency synthesizer technology combining broadband with target frequencies
(8)Multiple interference source signal generation methods
Providing tailored solutions to actual needs in different frequency bands with advanced interference signal modulation methods which improve the interference efficiency and ensure reliable and optimal result.
20MHz-80MHz: utilizing modulated white noise interference model.
80MHz-800MHz: utilizing direct digital synthesis (DDS) noise model.
800-2500(6000)MHz: utilizing direct digital waveform synthesis (DDWS) noise model.
(9)Rugged external casing design. The use of mixed resin materials makes the device impregnable to dust, water, shocks, corrosion, moisture, and explosives, and thus renders the device suitable for deployment in extreme weathers and climates.
(10)MCT-5000 is robust and remarkable in its wide coverage of target frequencies, ease of installation and use, and high portability and reliability.
(11)MCT-5000’s power and frequency (20MHz-6000MHz) output can be configured per customer needs with no impact to system’s physical dimensions.

2.Hand Held Control Terminal

MCT-5000’s smart control technology is completely software driven. All operations are effected via hand-held terminal.  The hand-held terminal LCD display offers clear and detailed device monitoring parameters and instructions for the operator. The hand-held terminal controls individual units, monitors each unit’s working status, and adjusts working parameters if necessary. It is easy and reliable to monitor and manage the operating status of each frequency band.  The hand-held terminal also offers remote access to the equipment and reduces electromagnetic radiation exposure to the operator. Multiple devices can be joined in series through their serial ports, which centralizes control of many device functions such as power on/off and selection of interference frequency bands and renders the equipment suitable for exceedingly demanding and complex applications.

(1)Internal Monitoring and Control System
Individual functional module status display provides comprehensive system status monitoring.  The monitoring and control system utilizes advanced CAN technology, centralizes monitoring and control of all power modules and individual frequency bands, and is capable of displaying real time data regarding the working status of internal power supply, external battery pack and individual frequency band modules.  Detailed status data are displayed automatically at predetermined intervals to be used for maintenance and repairs.
(2)Observable Status Data on Display
AC power input (present or absent)
Internal DC power supply (normal or abnormal)
Individual functional modules (present/normal or otherwise)
Antenna connections for each frequency band
External battery back (time remaining given current rate of power consumption)
System configuration

Note:  Upon delivery, system configuration has been completed per customer requirements.  The system configuration display interface is for maintenance and adjustment purposes only and is only accessible by MCT technicians.

3.Antennas

MCT-5000 comes with 3 omni-directional (20MHz-530MHz) antennas and one directional antenna array (800MHz-2500MHz) with horizontal polarization and a radiation angle of 60o.  These antennas are designed for the following 7 target frequency bands.

These antennas are in accordance with GJB-2669-96/GJB3248-98 and are equipped with a carry case.  The physical designs of the antennas are as follows,
